Supervision That Builds Confident Clinicians
My approach to supervision is structured, intentional, and focused on real clinical growth for LPC Associates in Texas.
I am not here to just help you “get your hours.” I am here to help you become a confident, ethical, and skilled clinician.
As an LPC-S, my role is not just to oversee your work, but to actively develop your clinical thinking, ethical decision-making, and professional identity.
I use a competency-based framework that focuses on how you think, how you show up, and how you make decisions in the therapy room.
The Clinical Supervision Framework I Use
I use a structured, competency-based approach to LPC supervision in Frisco, TX that focuses on how you think, not just what you do.
As a Black LPC-S, my approach is both clinical and culturally aware. That means we don’t just review cases. We build your confidence, your voice, and your ability to make sound decisions in real time.
I primarily use the Discrimination Model of supervision, which allows me to meet you where you are and support you in the way you need in each moment.
1
Teacher
When you need structure, direction, or skill-building, I step into a teaching role.
We focus on:
-
Clinical interventions
-
Case conceptualization
-
How to approach sessions with clarity and intention
This is where you learn how to actually do the work, not just talk about it.
2
Consultant
When you need collaboration and clinical insight, we process cases together.
We explore different perspectives, challenge your thinking, and strengthen your ability to make confident decisions without second guessing yourself.
This is where your clinical voice starts to develop.
3
Supportive Role
When your internal experience is impacting your work, we address it directly.
Because your thoughts, identity, and lived experiences show up in the room whether you acknowledge them or not.
We process:
-
Imposter syndrome
-
Anxiety and burnout
-
The pressure to “get it right”
-
The realities of being a therapist, including for those navigating cultural dynamics in the field
You don’t have to figure this out alone. I guide you through each role based on what you need in the moment.
You won’t just learn what to do.
You’ll understand why you’re doing it and trust yourself when it matters most.
Why Supervision With Me
Feels Different
Supervision is not supposed to feel like a checkbox.
It’s supposed to stretch you. Challenge you. Build you.
As a Black LPC-S in Frisco, TX, I bring both clinical expertise and lived awareness into the supervision space. That means we don’t just talk about interventions. We talk about identity, boundaries, power, and what it really means to show up as a clinician.
You won’t be left guessing if you’re doing it “right.”
You’ll learn how to think, how to trust your clinical instincts, and how to show up with clarity in the therapy room.
In supervision that looks like:
-
Real feedback, not surface-level validation
-
Support that challenges and develops your clinical thinking
-
Space to process both your cases and your internal experience
-
Culturally responsive supervision that sees the whole clinician
